The State of the Valley conference is a day-long affair spent looking at the big picture. How is Silicon Valley faring as a region? What are the key trends? What are our opportunities and challenges? Our time is spent taking up these questions, and the dialogue is informed by the Silicon Valley Index, which tracks our performance over more than 50 indicators.
Keynote speakers included: Shai Agassi, Silicon Valley crusader who seeks to end our nation’s oil dependence, and Newsweek’s Fareed Zakaria, regarded by many as the finest foreign policy mind of our generation.
There will also be performances from our region’s arts groups, and take in exhibits from hot new companies. This is a chance participate in what the Mercury calls “Silicon Valley’s best networking opportunity.”
Established in 1993, Joint Venture: Silicon Valley Network provides analysis and action on issues affecting our region's economy and quality of life. The organization brings together established and emerging leaders - from business, government, academia, labor and the broader community - to spotlight issues and work toward innovative solutions.
